February 17, (THEWILL) – Arsenal continued their excellent run of form by demolishing Burnley 5-0 at Turf Moor on Saturday. The Gunners took the lead after just four minutes through a Martin Odegaard strike and never looked back.

Bukayo Saka doubled Arsenal’s advantage on the stroke of half time from the penalty spot after Leandro Trossard was brought down in the area. The England international grabbed his second shortly after the break following a sublime pass from Odegaard.

Trossard added a fourth with 24 minutes remaining before Kai Havertz rounded off the scoring late on. The rampant victory is Arsenal’s fifth English Premier League win in a row and piles further misery on struggling Burnley.

Manager Vincent Kompany was forced to watch on from the stands due to a touchline ban as his side were ruthlessly dispatched by the title challengers. The Clarets have now lost four on the bounce and are on equal points with bottom of the table side Sheffield United based on their terrible home record.

The emphatic result leaves Arsenal well positioned to mount a serious title challenge this season as they moved back to within striking distance of Liverpool at the summit.
