December 29, (THEWILL) – The Cheshire residence of Manchester City midfielder, Jack Grealish, was burgled during City’s English Premier League match at Everton on Wednesday night. Raiders broke into Grealish’s house while the England international was playing at Goodison Park.
Members of Grealish’s family and his fiancée Sasha Atwood, were present when the intruders entered the property and ransacked it for valuables. Though unharmed, they heard noise from the break-in and quickly raised the alarm upon realising the home was being targeted by thieves.
It has been reported that jewellery and watches worth around £1 million were stolen during the audacious night-time robbery. Cheshire Constabulary described it as a “burglary” and their officers are now actively investigating the crime, which occurred around 9:50 pm on December 27.

Grealish himself remains available for selection, though manager Pep Guardiola admitted relief that none of the player’s relatives were physically hurt. “Fortunately nothing wrong happened where the family was inside,” Guardiola told reporters on Friday.
With the offenders still at large, Grealish may line up on Saturday, as City look to return to winning ways against Sheffield United.
