BEVERLY HILLS, June 03, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari met with Former President Goodluck Jonathan at the state house, in Abuja, on Thursday night, to discuss the increasing activities of Niger Delta Avengers and other militants in the Niger Delta region.
THEWILL gathered that the meeting started at about 9pm at the private residence of the President.
The meeting held less than 24 hours after Jonathan returned from Cote d’Ivoire, where he had been for months, leading to reports that he had taken refuge in Abidjan fearing that he would be arrested by the Buhari administration.
Jonathan however dispelled the reports and promised to return to Nigeria whenever he pleased.
