December 23, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Abuja for Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, on a working visit.
THEWILL reports that Buhari’s chopper left the Aso Rock premises at exactly 10:04 am on Thursday to the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, where he jetted off to Maiduguri.
The President is visiting Maiduguri to commission multiple projects embarked upon and completed by the Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum.
Borno State governor, Professor Babagana Zulum had on Tuesday said that the President has greatly supported the State and made sacrifices so that the people can live in peace, harmony, and progress.
He said Buhari had spent more than $50m to generate stable and sustainable power and energy for the people of Borno State.
While the President is en route to Maiduguri, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently presiding over an Extraordinary Federal Executive Council meeting at the Council Chambers.
