Buhari Gives Teachers Special Salary Scale, Extends Years Of Service On World Teachers Day

BEVERLY HILLS, October 05, (THEWILL) – Nigerian teachers now have a new salary scale and an extension of years of service from 35 to 40 years, according to the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu.

The Minister on Monday said President Muhammadu Buhari approved the package for teachers, while delivering an address in commemoration of the World Teachers Day 2020.

THEWILL notes that Nigerian teachers are amongst the lowly paid in the country and have over the years clamoured for better salary and improved welfare.
