August 16, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with former military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, as he turns 80 on 17th August, 2021.
The President, in a statement issued on Monday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, sent birthday greetings to former President Babangida, wishing him a “long and healthy life,” as he marks the birthday.
Buhari noted that he and Babangida, as former military commanders during the war and both retiring as Generals, have mutual interests, great hopes and expectations in a strong and united Nigeria.
The President expressed the hope that privileged Nigerians like Babangida and himself would recommit to ongoing efforts to help the nation to reach more glory, progress and prosperity.
