August 17, (THEWILL) – Sam Asghari, the estranged husband of American singer, Britney Spears, is allegedly threatening to release embarrassing information about the singer if she does not agree to renegotiate their prenup.
The duo ended their marriage recently after just 14 months of being together. He had confronted her over cheating allegations and moved out to a separate apartment.
According to Page Six, the actor is seeking a bigger payout than what they originally agreed upon in exchange for his silence.
Asghari is attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with embarrassing information about Spears unless he gets paid.
The former lovers had reportedly signed a prenup, which was in Spear’s favour. The prenup is such that any money the singer made before the wedding is protected and Asghari has no claims to them.
Spears’ lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, played a key role in working out the terms shortly after Asghari proposed to Spears in September 2021.
