BREAKING: Nigeria Further Reduces Price Of Petrol

BEVERLY HILLS, March 31, (THEWILL) – The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA, has again reduced the price of petrol in the country to N123.50 per liter from N125 p/l effective April 1, 2020.

The directive was made public late Tuesday in a media statement signed by Abdulkadir Saidu, its Executive Secretary.

“The Guiding price which becomes effective 1 April 2020, shall apply at all retail outlets nationwide for the month of April 2020,” he said.

THEWILL recalls that the regulatory agency on March 18, 2020, cut the price from N145 per liter to N125 per liter at the request of the Nigerian government following the plunge in the price of crude oil in the international markets.

Analysts and economists have urged the federal government to fully deregulate the oil sector and allow the market determine the price of petroleum products.
