August 02, (THEWILL) – The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the suit brought by the 12 detained associates of Yoruba Nation campaigner, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, to August 4.

In the course of the morning, some drama broke out between journalists and operatives of the DSS.

The security men attempted to prevent television cameramen from taking pictures of the eight detained associates inside the courtroom.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu had ordered the DSS to produce the detainees on July 29.

But on court day, it failed to honour the directive.

The Judge issued another order and adjourned the case to August 2.

But on Monday, only eight of the alleged 12 detained associates, who were arrested during a July 1 raid on Igboho’s Ibadan (Oyo State) residence by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), were produced in court.

The DSS had earlier raised an objection to the actual number of Igboho’s associates in its custody.

Justice Egwuatu granted the applicants’ lawyer, Pelumi Olagbenjesi, the leave to amend his processes to correct the names of the applicants, whom he earlier said were 12.
