BEVERLY HILLS, August 07, (THEWILL) – Apparently tired of killing innocent souls, eight members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, Thursday, renounced membership of the notorious sect in Mussa town, Askira/Uba local government area of Borno state.
Six out of the arrested persons were from Gwoza, the headquarters of Gwoza local government area.
Chairman of the youth vigilance group in the town, Apagu Istifanus, who disclosed this said the eight who were arrested in Musa told vigilante members that they decided to relocate to the town because they were tired of killing innocent people .
Itifanus said: “Yes we arrested eight Boko Haram in Mussa around 4pm on Thursday and when we interrogating them, they said they were tired, they don’t want to wage Jihad again and we handed them over to the military in Mubi, Adamawa State.”
Also confirming the arrest, another vigilante member from the area, craving anonymity, told THEWILL that the eight were nabbed in Mussa.
