October 09, (THEWILL) –Â Emeka Akumefule, aka Blaqbonez, has stated that he has added music video directing to his singing career.
The music star, on Saturday, said he is directing ‘Back in Uni’, the first track in ‘Young Preacher’, his next album.
Blaqbonez shared a screenshot of his chat with TG Omori, a music video director.
The duo had been bargaining the cost of a video that the singer wants Omori to direct.
Omori informed the singer that it would cost $30,000 to direct his video but Blaqbonez, who felt the amount was exorbitant, bid the video director goodbye.
He later announced that he would be directing the video himself.
“Today I’m directing my first music video. Every disappointment is a blessing,” he wrote in the caption of his tweet.
Included in the tweet is a picture he took while working as a video director on set, with members of his crew partaking in it.
Blaqbonez released the audio version of ‘Back in Uni’ a few days before revealing he would soon release the music video of the song.
