September 21, (THEWILL) – Bayern Munich thrashed Werder Bremen 5-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday, with Michael Olise and Harry Kane leading the charge.

Olise, who joined Bayern from Crystal Palace this summer, scored twice and provided two assists, while Kane added a goal and two assists to his tally.

The victory continued Bayern’s impressive run, following a 6-1 win against Holstein Kiel and a 9-2 triumph over Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League. Kane set up Olise for the opening goal in the 23rd minute, with Olise returning the favour by assisting Jamal Musiala shortly after.

Kane netted his 10th goal for Bayern in the 57th minute, with Olise providing the assist. The English forward has now scored 41 Bundesliga goals, more than any other English player in the league’s history. Olise added another goal, and Kane assisted Serge Gnabry to complete the rout.

Bayern’s dominant performance ensures they will remain at the top of the Bundesliga table after four matches, having won all their games so far. Their next challenge comes next Saturday when they host defending champions Bayer Leverkusen.
