BEVERLY HILLS, November 17, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, David Lyon, have pulled up a huge victory in the Bayelsa State governorship election defeating the ruling party, which has been in power since 1999, by a landslide.
The APC beat the PDP in Ekeremor, the 8th and final local government in the state where result was expected. The returning officer for the local government declared it was 21, 489 to the APC and 18, 344 to the PDP.
The total tally for the two main parties in the state are as follows:
