July 16, (THEWILL) – The Commissioner for Women, Children Affairs, Empowerment and Social Development, Hon. Faith Opuene, Hon. Lucky Asanakpo and Mr John Sambo, have been nominated for the fifth edition of the prestigious Bayelsa Media Network Awards (BMNA).
According to a statement issued to newsmen in Yenagoa, by the Project Manager, Mr Blessing Matthew Ozegbe, stating that the awardees have distinguished themselves excellently in their various fields of endeavour, Mr Ozegbe specifically described Hon. Opuene, as a square peg in a square hole, whose generosity and passionate zeal to develop Bayelsans through laudable empowerment programmes and policies of the Bayelsa State government is second to none.
The statement further described Dr Akpoebi Adesi, Hon. Ekisah Sinkumo, Mrs Chineme Umeseaka, Hon. Gifted Natus, Mr Venatius Ihekire Chinyeye, H.R.H Franklin Akintola, Paramount Ruler, Okutukutu Community, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, CPL. Clifford Noble, Chief Ebikapuador Ekoi Osuobeni, Mrs Simeone Portia Fun-ere, Mr Alfred Egbegi, Engr. Emmanuel Obinna, Jacobson Park, Amananaowei Tombri, Victor Eulogy, Mabel Magnimo, Princess Okoli, Yerin Jerry, Sandra Ossai, and Gracious Fenana, as personalities of integrity and reputable character, candour and epitome of extraordinary leadership qualities and game changers, Mr Ozegbe noted that they have discharged their responsibilities creditably well with impeccable service to humanity.
The Project Manager further noted that the epoch award ceremony will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat, Ernest Ikoli Press.
