SAN FRANCISCO, August 17, (THEWILL) – Spanish giant, FC Barcelona, has confirmed Dutch manager, Ronald Koeman, as their new coach believing the Dutchman will oversee a huge squad overhaul.
According to Diario AS, as reported by the Daily Mail, Koeman, a former Barca player, will replace Setien, who was fired earlier on Monday.
Barcelona is trophy-less this season and Koeman is expected to restructure the club. Available information suggests that seven first-team players may exit the club, players like Ivan Rakitic, Ousmane Dembele, Arturo Vidal, Arthur Melo, Junior Firpo, Martin Braithwaite and Samuel Umtiti.
THEWILL reports that Melo is already on his way out after agreeing to join Juventus.
