October 04, (THEWILL) – Gunmen suspected to be bandits, on Friday, invaded the Dan-Ali community in Danmusa Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State.
Residents told newsmen that the bandits have, in the last week, prevented farmers from accessing their farmlands in the community and surrounding areas, including Gwarjo, Dangane, Tudun, Tasha Kadanya and Tasha Biri.
According to them, the assailants, shooting sporadically, invaded the Dan-Ali community on Friday during Jumat, forcing worshippers to flee.
The spokesperson of the Katsina State Police Command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, has yet to issue any statement on the incident at the time of filing this report.
