Earlier, the Director General of NCAA, Capt Musa Nuhu, had also raised serious hopes for Azman come back, after which the suspension of the operations of all the Boeing 737 aircraft in the airline’s fleet was lifted.

In a related development, another new entrant into the nation’s aviation industry, Green Africa is set to open a seven-route network on start of operations.

The new airline recently announced plans to commence operations from its Lagos base at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) at the Murtala Mohammed Airport (MMA).

THE WILL gathered that Green Africa will launch flight operations to connect seven cities after completing its ongoing Air Operator Certificate (AOC) process with the NCAA which is now in an advanced stage.

According to a statement from the airline, additional cities within Nigeria would be added, just as there were plans underway to establish two more operational bases outside Lagos to stimulate air travel and provide more options to customers.

To facilitate increased economic and trade activities within Nigeria, Green Africa will also offer new direct connections from the commercial hub of Lagos (LOS) into these cities: • Akure (AKR) • Ilorin (ILR) • Abuja (ABV) • Enugu (ENU) • Owerri (QOW) • Port Harcourt (PHC).

Babawande Afolabi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Green Africa said “Starting with our launch route network, we are crafting a network plan that will afford more customers the opportunity to pursue their economic interest or simply spend more time with family and friends. Our three key product offerings – gSaver, gClassicTM and gFlexTM will afford customers the value of choice and flexibility “.
