July 19, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) will formally unveil its Vice Presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, on Wednesday.
The party in a statement issued by its National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, said the event will be held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, by 11.00am.
The statement said members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), Progressives Governors’ Forum, APC Caucus in the National Assembly, Federal Executive Council (FEC), Diplomatic Corps, presidential aspirants at the June 2022 Special National Convention, APC State Chairmen, APC State Secretaries and APC State Organising Secretaries, are expected to witness the event.
The APC Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had recently picked Shettima as his running mate for 2023.
The move had attracted criticism, as he was accused of running under a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidency.
