In a letter of appointment, signed by Bayo Onanuga, the Director of Media and Publicity in the Directorate, he said, “The Directorate recognises your efforts and ability to properly project and coordinate the Publicity needs and requirements of the campaign in general.

“It has therefore appointed you as Chairman of Cross River State Publicity Committee.”

He added that the responsibility of the new Chairman is to “Liaise and carry along the members of the directorate resident in your state and liaise and interface with the party’s state publicity Machinery.

“Others are to interpret and translate some of the Campaign and Media expressions into local languages, as well as to disseminate the activities of the Directorate to Local Government, wards and polling units.”

Beatrice Akpala, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Communication and Advocacy to the Cross River State governor, Professor Ben Ayade, was earlier appointed Assistant Director, New Media of the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council (ICC), where she is proving her mettle as a trusted professional in the fourth estate of the realm.

In her reaction, Akpala dedicated both appointments exclusively to the state governor, Professor Ben Ayade and promised to always give her best.
