APC National Chairman, Three Govs Meet Malami In Abuja

February 20, (THEWILL) – The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, has met with the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

The meeting, which was held at the APC National Secretariat on Monday, also had in attendance the governors of Kaduna, Kogi and Zamfara states, a report by Vanguard noted.

The meeting is coming ahead of Wednesday’s hearing of the consolidated case filed against the February 10th deadline of the old naira notes.

Recall that Adamu, some APC governors and the Party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a meeting on Sunday, urged the AGF to prevail on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to respect the ex parte order of the Supreme Court, restraining the apex bank from implementing its deadline on the naira swap.

Governor El-Rufai, along with his counterparts in Kogi, Ogun, Kano, Lagos, Niger and Zamfara states, in a direct affront to President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive, phasing out the old N1000 and N500 notes as legal tender, directed residents in their States to continue to use the old notes.
