BEVERLY HILLS, September 12, (THEWILL) – After months of maneuvering and intense lobbying by stakeholders across the Central and Northern Senatorial districts, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has zoned the Delta State Gubernatorial ticket to Delta North Senatorial District, a presidential aide with knowledge of the development told THEWILL late Wednesday.
The zone has three prominent aspirants – Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, Dr. Cairo Ojugbo and Dr. Pat Utomi.
A Running-mate will emerge from Delta South, while the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, will be chosen from Delta Central, the presidency source, who asked to remain anonymous said.
The source declined to give further details when our correspondent pressed for more information.
