October 27, (THEWILL) – The Appeal Committee set up by the All Progressive Party to Ogun State to resolve dispute arising from the recent state congress of the party ended on Wednesday with no petition received from any aggrieved members.

The committee led by the former house of representatives members, Patrick Obahiagbon, arrived Abeokuta, the state capital, on Monday, giving aggrieved members of the party 48 hours submit their petitions over the outcome of the party’s state congress.

But, speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta, the state capital, Obahiagbon said that the five-man members of the committee set up Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Committee had received no petitions from any aggrieved members within the period of two days in the state

He said that with the development, there was no crisis among the party members in the state the party as APC leaders in the state were satisfied with the conduct of October 16 state congress, noting that the panel would proceed to write its report.

“We have sat for two days now and no person or persons have approached this State Congress Appeal Committee.”

“In that circumstances, we are of the view that Ogun State APC political class are satisfied that the state congress held on October 16, 2021 was in substantial compliance with both the constitution of APC, the extant regulations rolled out by the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Committee and off course with clear provisions of the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria,”

“the panel will now proceed to write its report and forward it to the national secretariat in order to meet the requisite timeline of this assignment.” The chairman added.
