APC Appeal Committee Gives Aggrieved Members 48 Hours To Submit Petitions Over Ogun State Congress

October 25, (THEWILL) – The Patrick Obahiagbon led All Progressive Congress Appeal Committee to Ogun State on Monday gave 48 hours to aggrieved members to submit their petitions arising from the outcome of the just concluded state party congress held in the state recently.

The committee which is made up five persons was set up to receive and address petitions issued by any member of the party in the recent state congress to ensure equity, justice and guarantee integrity in the entire process of the congress.

The members of the committee are: Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon(Chairman); Barrister C.J Chiwuba(Secretary); Hon. Muazu Bawa Rajua(Member); Mr. Aboge-Isaac Felix(Member) and Hon. Jubrin Akowe.

Obahiagbon, while speaking at a press briefing held at the party’s secretariat at Iyana-Mortuary, said that the committee would only wait for any petitions within 48 hours and if none it would submit its reports.

The chairman added that the appeal committee would be sitting tomorrow (Tuesday) at Conference Hotel, Abeokuta, by 10:00am to receive petitions from members who were dissatisfied with the result of the congress.

“It is to be noted that in all cases where party congresses had taken place, Appeal Committees, have been subsequently empanelled by the Car-taker Extra Ordinary and Convention Planning Committee of the APC, in line with out party’s constitution, to review the preceding Congresses with a view to ensuring justice, equity, fair play and guaranteeing the integrity of the entire process.” Obahiagbon said
