BEVERLY HILLS, March 23, (THEWILL) –Â A batch of 149 Nigerians deported from Libya, Thursday, arrived Lagos aboard a chartered BURAQ Airline.
The chartered flight with registration number 5A-DMG landed at about 10:45 pm at the NAHCO Tarmac of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport MMIA, Lagos.
The deportees include 107 male adults, 37 female adults including a medical case, 4 female children and 1 female infant.

They were handed over to National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, by Mr AbrhamTamrat, the Programme Manager of the International Organisation of Migrants, IOM, Lagos.
On arrival, they were received by the South West Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Yakubu Suleiman. The Coordinator admonished the Returnees to shun the urge of seeking greener pasture where it does not exist.
The returnees were given a fully airtime-recharged handset courtesy of the Offices of The Senior Special Assistant on SDG and Diaspora/Foreign Affairs.
Other agencies present were the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the Nigeria Police Force and officials and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
