Even with a busy schedule at the recent Diamond League events, Amusan demonstrated her discipline and answered the nation’s call to participate and effortlessly secure her fourth consecutive national title. The star hurdler’s exceptional performance clocked in at an impressive 12.70s, leaving her competitors a remarkable 10m behind in the final race.
Amusan’s consistent presence at national and continental meets has established her as a role model for young hurdlers within Nigeria. The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) is keen on harnessing her talents to solidify the country’s position in the upcoming World Championships in Budapest. It is expected that Amusan will join the 4x100m relay squad, further enhancing Nigeria’s chances of success in the championship.
Alternatively, she may choose to focus on her preparations for the Silesia Diamond League in Europe, as she gears up to defend her world title in Budapest.
