June 24, (THEWILL) – Lagos-based outdoor recreation facility and venue for a recent longest cooking marathon race, Amore Gardens, has renamed its industrial kitchen after the new record holder for the longest cooking by an individual, Hilda Bassey Effiong, aka Hilda Baci.
This comes a few days after Guinness World Records, GWR, officially certified Baci’s 93 hours 11 minutes cooking feat.
Now branded Chef Hilda’s Kitchen, Chief Operating Officer of Amore Group, Oluwatobi Okubote, stated that the gesture was in honour of Hilda, whose feat had placed Nigeria on the global culinary map.
Okubote in a statement noted that Baci’s performance, zest and resilience align with the company’s spirit to create a platform of international standard infrastructure inspiring others to extraordinary exploits.
“Consequently, we are pleased to immortalise your name on location Amore where you shook the world in May 2023 and thus, dedicate a section of the Garden to record your achievement”, she declared.
Hilda’s cook-a-thon feat attracted over 5,000 visitors to Amore Gardens including politicians and top celebrities.
