Akeredolu A Fearless Fighter Whose Legacy Will Endure Forever – Tinubu

February 28, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has described the late Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, as a fearless fighter, saying his legacy will endure forever.

Speaking on Wednesday in Owo, Owo Local Government Area, when he visited the town to commiserate with the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye, over the death of Akeredolu, President Tinubu said the late Governor left a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.

“He truly embodied courage and fearlessness, especially in his relentless pursuit of good governance. I can only describe him as a fearless fighter. His unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people and his courageous nature will always be remembered.

“This sentiment should inspire us to live each day with purpose, to pursue our goals with determination, and to leave behind a legacy that will be remembered fondly by those whose lives we have touched.

Oba Ogunoye, on his part, described the late Akeredolu as a true democrat who had an unwavering commitment to democratic principles and practices.

The monarch extended his gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa, acknowledging and commending the Governor’s significant efforts in orchestrating a fitting and respectful burial ceremony for the late governor, who was also the former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

President Tinubu was accompanied by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji; Ondo State Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami; Speaker, House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa, amongst others.
