September 08, (THEWILL) – After completing the requirements for her studies at El Roi London University, Rasheedat Ajibade earned diplomas in Coaching Psychology and Sports Management.
The Super Falcons star follows in the footsteps of striker, Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest and midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester City, who both finished their diploma and degree programmes respectively. While Awoniyi also earned a business degree from Buckinghamshire New University in Wycombe, Ndidi studied business management at Montfort University in Leicester.
Ajibade is looking forward to supporting Atlético Madrid Femenino as they compete with FC Barcelona for the Spanish top division title away from the classroom. In the forthcoming season, the Rojiblancas attacker is also expected to play in the Copa de Reina.
The forward contributed to the Madrid-based team’s Supercopa de Espaa victory in the 2020/2021 campaign. She shared the top goal-scorer honours at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with South African Hildah Magaia and Moroccan Ghizlane Chebbak with her three goals.
