Ajadi Expresses Condolences Over Passing Of Ibadan Community Leader Ayansola

November 08, (THEWILL) – A Chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples’ Party (NNPP) has expressed his condolences over the passing on of a Community leader in the ancient city of Ibadan, Madam Sariyu Abeni Ayansola, who he described as a woman of courage and epitome of humility.

Madam Ayansola, who passed on peacefully on October 30, 2023, at the age of 95, was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites on the same day.

Her Fidau prayer took place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at her residence in Ibadan.

Ajadi, while speaking with journalists at the 8-day Fidau prayer for the late Community leader, said Madam Ayansola lived a fulfilled life.

He said the good works of Madam Ayansola while alive attracted people from far and near to her burial, urging everybody present to copy Ayansola’s good deeds while alive.

Ajadi said he took time to attend the Fidau prayer for Madam Ayansola because she lived a good life devoid of hatred but love for all.

“My presence here is also a testament to my deep connection with the community, the ancient City of Ibadan, as well as to show my unwavering commitment to forging a strong bond with the people of Oyo State.

“Let me extend my heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and the people of Ibadan land in general.

“Late Ayansola was a living testament to the resilience and rich cultural heritage of the Ibadan people.

“Her life history is an inspiration to us all, and her passing on is a great loss to our community,” he said.

The Fidau prayers session was attended by a large gathering of community members, leaders, political leaders and other well-wishers, who came to bid the community leader final farewell.

Ajadi, who was the NNPP governorship candidate in Ogun State during the March 2023 election, was accompanied to the occasion by the South-West Public Relations Officer of the NNPP, Hon. Kilamuwaye Badmus; the PRO, NNPP Ogun State, Comrade Olowu Olayemi Omokehinde; Comrade Awoeyo Olugbenga Olaitan; Hon. Teluwo Kehinde, and Hon. Fatai Adenaya.
