BEVERLY HILLS, October 14, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday stated that his wife, Aisha, who had said his government has been hijacked by those who played no role in its emergence, belongs in his kitchen and “the other room”.
Aisha had told the BBC Hausa Service that she might not support her husband’s reelection bid in 2019 if the present situation persist and he fails to carry out a cabinet shake up.
But speaking with journalists in Germany in response to his wife’s remarks, Buhari said, “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room.
“I claim superior knowledge over her and the rest of the opposition, because in the end I have succeeded. It is not easy to satisfy the whole Nigerian opposition parties or to participate in the government.”
