August 22, (THEWILL) – In what appeared to be their first unofficial encounter, the new Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), on Monday night, in Abuja, received representatives of the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) at a dinner in his honour, hours after he was inaugurated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Keyamo, who now takes charge of the Ministry of Aviation, was glad to receive the duo of Chief Allen Onyema, who is the Vice President of AON and Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Chairman of Air Peace, who is the Spokesman of the Association and also Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines Company Limited.
The dinner, which was held at the expansive A-Class Restaurant in the Wuse area of Abuja, attracted people from different walks of life, including the Minister’s associates in the legal profession and schoolmates from his secondary school and university.
Despite the crowd of interested persons seeking to gain the new Minister’s attention, he still made time to attend to industry stakeholders, who graced the event.
