A’Ibom Lawmaker Hails Tinubu Over Atang’s Appointment As Head Of FCT Civil Service

March 20, (THEWILL)- A federal lawmaker from Akwa Ibom State, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for appointing his constituent, Dr Udo Samuel Atang, as Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

Etteh, a member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency in the National Assembly and the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on University Education, gave the applause in a statement endorsed by him and made available to newsmen in Uyo.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had approved the appointment of Mr Udo Atang Samuel, the most senior Director in the FCT Administration (FCTA), as its pioneer Head of Civil Service on March 12, 2024, alongside 10 Permanent Secretaries for various secretariats of the FCTA in line with the FCT Civil Service Law, 2018.

The statement reads in part: “The news of the appointment of my brother and constituent,  Dr. Udo Samuel Atang, as Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, reached me and the entire people of Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency with great joy and gladness.

“On behalf of my family and the entire Federal Constituency, I joyfully write to express our deepest appreciation to the President and felicitations to you. The appointment of Dr Atang to the exalted position is a testament to his exceptional dedication, professionalism, and leadership qualities. It is the handiwork of God.

“The extensive experience and proven track record of Dr Atang in public service make him eminently qualified for this significant role. I have full confidence that under his guidance, the FCTA will continue to uphold the highest standards of efficiency, transparency, and accountability, thereby contributing to the overall development and prosperity of our beloved nation.”

While praying to God to make the enormous responsibilities before the FCTA Service boss easy, Hon. Etteh expressed optimism that Dr Atang’s leadership will inspire others and lead to even greater achievements in the years ahead.
