Ahmed Musa Completes Move To Leicester City As Petr Cech Retires

BEVERLY HILLS, July 8, (THEWILL) – Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, has officially signed for English premiership champions, Leicester City on a four-year deal worth £18million.

The former CSKA Moscow striker becomes Leicester’s fourth signing after Ron-Robert Zieler, Luis Hernandez and Nampalys Mendy.

The 23-year-old scored 13 goals in 30 games, with five assists and a passing accuracy of 74.5 percent in the 2015-16 season but has scored a total number of 54 goals in 168 games for the Russian club.

Musa who made his international debut against Madagascar in September 2010 has scored 11 times in 58 appearances for the Super Eagles.

Meanwhile, Arsenal goalkeeper, Petr Cech, has announced his retirement from international football with the Czech Republic.

The 34-year-old is his country’s most capped player with 121 appearances, having made his debut in 2002.

His final game for the Czech Republic was the 2-0 Euro 2016 defeat to Turkey

“When I was a kid, my ultimate dream was to play for the national team at least once,” he told Arsenal’s website.

“Having done it so many times makes me really proud.”
