December 21, (THEWILL) – Two quick goals in the second half were all FC Robo Queens needed to secure a 2-1 win over Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa, in a match-day six encounter on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
The Prosperity Girls have now failed to win their last two games – 1-1 vs Rivers Angels and losing 2-1 to FC Robo.
Rose Ekong opened the scoring for Bayelsa Queens in the 21st minute before FC Robo scored two goals in the 51st and 59th-minute.
Bayelsa Queens remain in fourth place still on 9 points from a possible 18 in the league table.
Reflecting on the game, Bayelsa Queens Technical Adviser, Domo Okara, said: “We came up with a game plan, which is to win the match, but we lost. We cannot win every game.
“We would go and prepare and bounce back, but the loss is painful”, Domo Okara added.
