AFL Delegation Conducts Second Inspection Of Enyimba’s Home Match Facilities

July 29, (THEWILL) – Enyimba Chairman, Nwankwo Kanu, has welcomed a delegation from the African Football League (AFL) for their second visit to inspect the facilities designated to host Enyimba’s home matches in the continental flagship competition.

The delegation arrived in Uyo, on Thursday, July 27, and diligently assessed the God’swill Akpabio International Stadium the following day. Alongside the stadium inspection, they also examined proposed hotels for accommodating participating teams.

Speaking about the visit, Kanu said: “I am happy that the inspection team is finally here in Uyo and I have no doubts that they will be impressed with the facilities that are on ground to host matches in the African Football League.

“It also gives me joy that Enyimba has been selected as one of the teams to participate in the inaugural edition of this very special competition. It is historic. On our side, we will continue to do everything to ensure that we are ready for the competition.”

Ahead of the proposed mid-October kickoff date, another AFL delegation is scheduled to visit Uyo in mid-August. Their primary objective will involve conducting essential pitch maintenance works at the God’swill Akpabio International Stadium, reaffirming Uyo’s position as a capable and top-notch host for this special competition.
