SAN FRANCISCO, July 04, (THEWILL) – Last Thursday, another scandal broke out on social media when certain individuals stormed Nollywood actor and Toyin Aimakhu’s ex-husband, Adeniyi Johnson’s Instagram page to lay some serious allegations against him among which was attempting to poison Toyin Aimakhu, as well as abandoning a wife and child in Ijebu, Ogun state.
One of the accusers backed up the allegation with proof supposedly in their possession including ‘emails, phone calls and videos.’
While the reason behind the collapse of their marriage remains unknown till date, a video clip released by the actress early this year saw her heaping blames on Niyi for the collapse which she said was as a result of his “philandering ways”.
Fast-forward to the poisoning allegation, minutes after Niyi was accused, Toyin also took to her Instagram page to leave a cryptic message. “Silence is no longer golden,” she said adding that she would open up very soon.
Though it is unclear if her post was in response to the allegations, there is a distinct possibility that she was indeed referring to her ex-husband’s atrocities.
Sunday Scoop attempted to get Toyin to confirm the authenticity of the allegation against her ex but she refused to comment. “If you don’t mind, this is not something I want to talk about,” she stated.
Meanwhile the accused, Niyi feigned ignorance of the story when contacted. “I don’t know where you got your story from, I don’t know what you are talking about,” he told Sunday Scoop.
