December 08, (THEWILL) – Manchester City’s Jack Grealish has only been at the club for 18 months of his six-year contract and already his future at the Etihad has recently been the focus of rumours, and a fresh interest from Inter Milan is the latest.

Since his high-profile £100 million transfer from Aston Villa, the 27-year-old offensive midfielder from England has not quite lived up to the hype. He scored a meagre five goals in 33 games during his first season at City, but has only managed one goal in 16 appearances this season.

Yet, the Serie A champions, Milan, are getting ready to make a surprise move for Grealish. Although not yet official, it appears City is willing to trade the playmaker, whose move to the club was the most expensive transfer of an English player in English Premier League history.

In order to finance their bid for England international, Jude Bellingham, from Borussia Dortmund, the EPL winners will be open to let Grealish go to Italy. If Milan do not succeed in the January window, they would consider making a more determined push at the end of the current season.

Grealish is currently involved in England’s World Cup squad, as they prepare to face France in the World Cup quarter-finals on Saturday. It is a crucial game in their push for international glory, with the winner of that quarter-final progressing to a semi-final match-up against Portugal or Morocco.
