March 13, (THEWILL) – Only a few months ago, Abisoye Fagade was in the news for serving guests at his late mother’s burial ceremony, wild reptiles prepared as sumptuous delicacies in the ancient city of Ibadan. Now he is in the news again, this time for unveiling his mission to oust Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State from Government House, Ibadan. He formally declared his governorship ambition during a lavish party organised to celebrate his 48th birthday at The Civic Centre on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. The birthday party, which had some traditional rulers, politicians, entertainers, businessmen and technocrats in attendance, was a black tie event. This is not the first time that Fagade has dreamed of becoming governor of Oyo State. He once tested the waters under the Alliance For Democracy. He claims he didn’t win then because people felt he was too young to seek such an elective position. A marketing communication expert, Abisoye is a youth mentor who has his business tentacles spread across the hospitality industry, oil and gas, media and advertising.
