February 12, (THEWILL) – The five abducted pupils and three teachers of The Apostolic Faith Group of Schools, Emure-Ekiti, Ekiti State, recently released by their abductors, have been discharged from hospital, on Sunday.

The kidnappers had on January 29, intercepted a private school bus and abducted nine persons, including five pupils, three female teachers and the bus driver.

However, the state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Oyebanji Filani, confirmed that the pupils and their teachers were discharged on Sunday.

“After ensuring their release, we had to ensure that they were properly treated by various medical teams. They have been discharged, we will be returning them to their community”, said Filani.
