September 11, (THEWILL) – No fewer than four hundred Nigerians, including 90 females and 310 males, deported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) arrived in Abuja on Wednesday.
The deportees were received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, by the office of the National Security Adviser alongside the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other stakeholders.
The deportation follows a series of measures by UAE authorities to address immigration and legal issues involving Nigerian nationals.
