38 Inmates Escape From Police Custody In Enugu

BEVERLY HILLS, December 21, (THEWILL) – About 38 inmates have reportedly broken free from the custody of the Enugu State Police Command.

A police source said the inmates escaped from the police cells at the State Criminal Investigation Department, inside the State Police Headquarters on Sunday night.

THEWILL gathered that they were remanded by Magistrate Courts at the police cells during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown because of the congestion of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Enugu.
