August 20, (THEWILL) – At the conclusion of the 2023 Women’s World Cup, Aitana Bonmati was awarded the Golden Ball as the best player of the competition after leading Spain to their first-ever title with a 1-0 victory over England on Sunday.
The 25-year-old Barcelona midfielder put in a masterful performance throughout the tournament, featuring in every match and controlling the midfield with her excellent passing, vision and technical ability.
