“Don’t Vote for people you don’t trust and hold me responsible.

“Our plan is to rebuild Nigeria and make it work.

“I assure you that the Obi-Datti administration we will form will secure and unite Nigeria.

“In addition, we will ensure law and order, rule of law, an end to Police brutality, ensure that our universities function as universities and also push the country from a consumption to a productive economy,” he said.

He expressed regrets about the Tinapa project and promised not just to help revive it as president but also, to grow the state’s tourism sector.

He also promised to expand the productivity of the agric sector of the Cross River economy, particularly in investment in Cocoa.

Also speaking, Professor Pat Utomi, a member of the Labour Party Presidential Council, said a new Nigeria is possible and that starts today.

He attributed the poverty situation to unproductivity and promised the Labour Party would change the narrative.

Aisha Yesufu, on her part, said the time has come for Nigerians to vote for the right people and not thieves.

The 2023 election, she insisted, is for survival and we have to vote and defend our votes.

Earlier, Hon. Isa Abubakar, the Director of Youth Affairs of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, said the Labour Party movement is a bloodless revolution and also, a movement that will salvage Nigeria.

He told the electorates to go back to their communities and let people know that if we don’t want to continue like this, we have to vote for Peter Obi come 2023.

Peter Obi’s presidential rally in Calabar was preceded by a town hall engagement as well as a visit to the Obong Of Calabar, Edidem Ekoo Okon Abasi Otu V.
