SAN FRANCISCO, March 25, (THEWILL)  – As preparations for the general elections scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 28 and April 11 get to the final stages, voters in Yobe State have been urged to conduct themselves peacefully and protect their votes.

“You should go out and vote en masse for the APC. Conduct yourselves peacefully. Stay close by after casting your ballots to ensure that your votes have been counted. Protect your votes, ” the State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam, charged them.

He was speaking Wednesday at a rally to welcome him back to Damaturu, the state capital, after attending the All Progressives Congress (APC) zonal rally in Bauchi where he was presented with the governorship flag of the party for Yobe State.

The governor, who insisted that the electorate must wait at the polling units after voting to ensure their votes are counted before leaving for their homes, however expressed gratitude to them for their support.

He stressed that the forthcoming elections are very crucial to the future of the country and Yobe state as well, even as he maintained that the people of the state must ensure that they play an active part in what h described as the change that is coming.

He said “By the Grace of Almighty Allah, and with your support, this country is poised for a bright future under an APC presidency and an APC majority in at least 28 states of the federation.”
