Workers Day: Oluyede Greets Ekiti Workers, Promises Better Days

May 01, (THEWILL) – Ekiti workers have been commended for their resilience, hard-work and steadfastness, even in the face of lingering unsavoury circumstances.

Governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr Wole Oluyede, made the commendation in a release issued in Ado Ekiti, signed by his campaign Media Director, Mr Gboyega Adeoye.

According to the gubernatorial hopeful, Ekiti State workers have played notable roles in holding the state together since its creation, barely 25 years ago, even in the face of acute governmental ineptitudes and the consequent nagging challenges.

Despite the odds, Oluyede said the workers have remained the most “outstanding pillar of the state.”

He said: “Your hardwork and perseverance are commendable. Your contributions to the upliftment of the state are remarkable. You remain the engine room of Ekiti that every individual in Ekiti should continue to treasure”, Oluyede said.

He said his interaction with Ekiti workers over the years shows they are a very dutiful set of people, who are ever ready to make sacrifices for the growth and development of the state.

The medical expert said the workers deserve the best treatment and respect from the government and  the people, and therefore promised that his government would give workers the topmost priority, if voted in, come June 18, 2022.

Oluyede said: “I use this occasion of the Workers Day to commend you.You are the pillar of Ekiti state. Your efforts over the years deserve to be recognised and adequately rewarded. I, therefore, urge the workers to use the occasion of the Workers Day to re-energise themselves in preparation for the challenges of rebuilding Ekiti state and putting the state on the global map of industrial growth and human capital development, while we promise a government that will give needed respect and rewards to you in few months to come.”
