July 12, (THEWILL) – The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is set to begin in just nine days, with 736 players from 32 teams ready to represent their nations in Australia and New Zealand.
On Tuesday, FIFA released and confirmed the squad list of the 32 teams on their official website. The ninth edition of the tournament will see the world’s best female footballers compete for the chance to lift the iconic trophy at Stadium Australia in Sydney/Wangal on Sunday, 20 August.
The action kicks off on Thursday, 20 July with New Zealand facing Norway at Eden Park in Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau, while Australia takes on debutantes Republic of Ireland at Stadium Australia in Sydney/Wangal.
