March 31, (THEWILL) – Actress Rahama Sadau, has narrated how she missed the train that was attacked by gunmen along Kaduna-Abuja road.
In a Twitter post, she noted that she and her sister were supposed to be on the train, but they missed it.
“Myself and my sister were supposed to be on the attacked train last night, but we missed it. It could’ve been me and mine, but it’s actually us. We had friends and family on that train. When is this ever gonna stop!”
On Monday, the train from Abuja was attacked by gunmen in the Kateri-Rijana area of Kaduna. The locomotive, which had over 900 passengers, had almost reached Rigasa, the final stop before it was ambushed.
The gunmen were said to have blown up the rail track, after which they launched an attack on the passengers, leaving a number of people dead and injured.
The attack has continued to elicit condemnation, with several Nigerians lamenting the worsening insecurity in the country.
