August 25, (THEWILL) – In a grand display of opulence and tradition, Senator Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, recently hosted members of his constituency and other dignitaries to the wedding of his daughter, Chidinma Uzoamaka to her lover, Obinna Cyril, the son of Chief Obiora Ifeanyi, the Gburugburu of Ihiala. Chief Ifeanyi is the founder of Obikings Group, makers and marketers of two brands of very popular and widely accepted brands of home appliances, Century and Power Deluxe. The three-part festivities began with a civil ceremony and later a traditional wedding in Enugu State.
The choice of Enugu may not be unconnected to the insecurity plaguing the southeast, specifically Anambra State where the senator hails from. The ceremonies ended with a lavish white wedding in Abuja. The ceremony drew a distinguished guest list from Nigeria’s elite, reflecting Umeh’s prominence in both political and social circles. While comedian and actor, Okechukwu Onyegbule aka Okey Bakassi steered proceedings at the wedding party, Kingsley Okonkwo aka Kcee was on the bandstand to serenade the couple and their guests some of who were, Alex Otti, Abia State governor; Peter Obi, Labour Party presidential candidate; Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State governor; Adaora Umeoji, MD Zenith Bank Plc; Godswill Akpabio, Senate President; former Sokoto State governor, Senator Aminu Tambuwal etc.
While the groom works as the operations director in his father’s company, Chidinma who goes by her social media name, Dimmeh is a content creator, Youtuber, beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger.
