June 25, (THEWILL) – Vice President Kashim Shettima, on Tuesday, condoled with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, over the death of his Mother-In-Law, Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama.
The Vice President paid the condolence visit to Granduje at his residence in Miango Road, Kano.
He was received by the Chairman House Committee on Petroleum Resources, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the Chief of Staff to the APC National Chairman, Malam Muhammad Garba, and a Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker, Faizu Alfindiki, among several others.

While at the residence, the Vice President prayed for the repose of the departed soul before going to the family wing to condole with Ganduje’s wife.
Hajiya Gauyama, who was the beloved mother of Professor Hafsatu Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the wife of the APC National Chairman, died in the early hours of Monday and was buried the same day in Kano.
Like Granduje, Shettima is also bereaved as he lost his mother-in-law, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar, who also died on Monday and was buried the same day.
Shettima and Granduje have since Monday, been in Kano receiving condolence visits by people from the state and other parts of the country.
