September 25, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu is paying an unannounced visit to France and will leave the country for London, England in the coming hours, before returning to Abuja, according to sources familiar with the president’s itinerary.
The President, who departed New York, United States, unannounced last Thursday, where he addressed the United Nations General Assembly and also participated in a couple of sideline events, is believed to be on a private visit to France and England even though the presidency has not officially acknowledged this.
However, a presidency source who asked to remain anonymous, told THEWILL that the president will return to Nigeria “soon”. The President is expected to lead the ceremony to mark Nigeria’s Independence Day on October 1, his first since assuming office on May 29, 2023.
